Aloha fine readers. This has been a weird week of baseball. Some of the teams are starting to play better (Blue Jays and Angels) and some teams seem to be dropping off hot starts (New York Yankees and Texas Rangers).
Overall, with the exception of a few things (both LA clubs struggling, plus Washington having some struggles, things have gone pretty much to where I thought they would play out.
I wanted to announce that I won’t be doing the Daily Home Run hitters notes anymore. There are just too many specific pages out there that you can follow the same type of information. Google search the concept.
I enjoyed writing the segments, because who doesn’t love the longball? It is just we like to separate ourselves from other websites with stuff that is new.
We will try many new things over the course of this website’s life. That is the only way to do the fans justice. One of the many things we have done recently is take a bigger look to salaries, roster and organizations. We did State Of The Unions for all 30 teams before the season started – and were able to complete most of the payrolls for each club too. This is a big focus of our place on the internet going foward.
The next tier of information we have coming to us is courtesy of www.prosportsrosters.com (Jeff Kleiner). We are starting to post some teams entire organizational roster charts for every one of their MLB and MILB clubs. This is the way the to find out who is where on your favorite MLB franchise.
Jeff Kleiner will be on our podcast (2 And A Hook) next week to discuss how he operates his website. Put it this way, this man spends all day watching the transactions for all 4 major sports (MLB/NBA, NHL and NFL). He updates these moves onto his website and keeps full data spreadsheets for 122 Major League franchises – and all of their affiliates. There are 3 year salary outlooks and stats, depth charts, service time, injury disclosures, top 10 prospects, you name it etc…
We are going to provide some analysis coupled with Jeff’s site to post on http://www.mlbreports.com. for each club. We have done about 10 of the organizations thus far. It is available at the link below the next paragraph.
From there, we have also started doing Roster Trees for each MLB team. These track back every current player on a team (six degrees of separation to speak) of how the club used assets from the beginning to acquire these players. It works like a family tree, but this works with baseball player. The backtracking stops when we find the original player the club either drafted or signed as a Free Agent.

After we write all of this down, we then will be dissecting how the club fared in Drafting – or via trade (acquiring the player) for others that may have left the team. So far we have done the Oakland Athletics and Pittsburgh Pirates Pitching Roster. Again, these links are available on this page.
We are still focusing with the idea to have 30 MLB Team Correspondents for each team – and also have general writers, plus specialized experts for specific fields of the game. We have a Fantasy Expert, a Cooperstown Expert, a Baseball Operations Expert, a Draft Expert and a Trade Expert.
If that weren’t enough, we have 3 Podcasts that we promote on this website.
Sully Baseball (please call him Sully but AKA Paul Francis Sullivan, runs a 20 minute podcast every day. Simply put, they are outstanding because he is the hardest working man in Podcast/MLB Show Biz. Bookmark the page
In addition to his daily show, Sully also runs a ‘Who Owned Baseball’ article every day (that is right folks every day), just like his Podcast. He picks the Pitchers and Hitters Of The Day for both the American and National League – and runs the updated yearly standings.

Triple Play Podcast: Is a late Sunday night show hosted by the Big Ticket Show Podcast Hosts Patrick Beaulieu and Chris Leitch. This show has, MLB Power Rankings, Farm Reports and a list of experts around North America that will be part of the show. The length of these shows will be from 55 – 70 minutes. Bookmark the page
2 And A Hook Podcast: Is a bi – weekly Thursday podcast run by host James Acevedo of the Benchwarmers Show. I will be a guest on most of these shows to provide some analysis of the MLB and what is happening with this website. This Podcast is going to feature a lot of the writers and experts from the MLB Reports. No holds barred type of forum, we hit the ground hard when it comes to baseball. Bookmark the page
Weekly Power Rankings Every Monday: Every Monday I run the gauntlet on all 30 teams. There will be the odd stat and reasons why I have ranked the clubs where they have slotted in. Once a month, I will provide about 200 stats in a huge Monthly Power Rankings. It keeps me sharp – and will give you the knowledge to own the conversation at your water cooler.
Mid Week Around the Horn: Every second week, (Non – 2 And A Hook Podcast Weeks), I am running an around the horn segment, where I will throw a bunch of random things down on a post.
We also are planning on doing a Franchise series on each 30 MLB Teams. So far we have completed the Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals franchise, the Philadelphia Phillies and the Tampa Bay Rays. If only there were more hours in the day.
For now, we have stopped our Saturday card collector series blog (done by Lee Edelstein), however, once the season is over, we will be running a weekly post once again. We just feel when all of the games are on, it would be best served to give you more analysis for the teams playing. The collector card series is extremely popular.
Eventually, we will also take another look at all 30 MLB Parks – and breakdown each one of these establishments – with some of the best ranking charts based on merits – by some of the most dedicated, hardcore experts out there.
This is my background. In 2008, 2009 and 2012 I went to all 30 MLB Parks establishing 3 World Records – and learning many tricks of the trade when attending ballparks. I have all of these listed on my main page that reads 30 MLB Parks in 23 Days. I interviewed 30 MLB Park Experts. Check out these pages and subapages to help you in your journey. There is an 11 part Advice for MLB Road Trips Series as part of this. Each game of the 3 – 30 MLB Park chases is describe in novel format. Find them here
It is important to this website that all 30 MLB Fanbases are represented at our site. Each team and city will be written about and talked about at all times. The MLB is the best sport out there going today and lets talk – and write about it till they rip the availability away from us.
