Jordany Valdespin hit yet another HR last night as a player that did not start the game. Incredibly, this guy has hit 9 HRs in his limited Career for this category (94 AB – versus 2 HRs in 173 AB as a Starter.) The Mets should definitely keep Valdespin in this role. Unfortunately their OF for 2013 is hitting for a Batting Average in the .225 Range.
DH on our home site pages – Stands for Daily HR Hitters in the Majors.
We are going to run the gauntlet on the previous days HRs for all MLB Players.
I loved it when MLB XM Radio used to do a running total every night on their Roundtrip with Mike Ferrin (Laser Show). So I am bringing it every day on this website. To view every nights big boppers for the whole year (from May 8th on) visit the DH page!

Jordany Valdespin goes yard as a PH:

Since 2006 McCann leads Major League Catchers with 151 HR and 581 RBI. After spending the 1st 30 Games on the DL in 2013, the man has clubbed HRs on back to back games in his 3rd and 4th GP of the year. McCann’s contract expires at the end of the campaign – making him a Free Agent. With Evan Gattis proving his worth as a young Catcher, McCann will need to hit like he did prior to last year – in order to have the Braves offer him a fair deal to continue as the club’s Backstop. beyond 2013.
The New York Yankees continued their surprising power surge Friday night despite missing several of their top HR hitters from 2013.
The Kansas City Royals have had two players carry HRs in 3 game streaks this week with Mike Moustakas and Alex Gordon
Alejandro De Aza has shown promising power as the White Sox Lead off hitter – and is second on the club for HRs this year. He has gone back to back nights with taters.
Brendan Harris may be earning himself some more playing time in Anaheim with HRs in 2 straight games – and has an .809 OPS in 69 At – Bats this year. The 32 Year Old from Queensbury, NY has played SS/2B/1B and 3B this season.

After a brutal start to the year, Moustakas has now smacked a HR in 3 straight games at the tail end of this week. Moustakas flew out of the gate in the first 6 weeks of 2012 – before plummeting down in Average and power the rest of the season. Moustakas and Hosmer had both struggled headed into the week as the teams Corner Infielders. Hosmer hit his 1st HR of the year on Thursday. The Royals still last 11 – 6 to the Yankees on Friday. Moustakas hit 20 HRs in 2012.
