The Indians continue to lead the MLB in HRs with 49. They are now 18 – 14 for the year – after winning 11 out of their last 12. They also lead the MLB in SLG % with a .475 clip – and OPS – with a .809 mark. They boast the AL HR leader in Reynolds (11) and Santana is leading the world in OPS of (1.129). The Cleveland fans have not bought into the next exciting offensive play. The team is dead last in MLB Attendance – having only drawn 239,765 in 17 home dates thus far. This translates into just over 14100 people per contest. C’mon Cleveland, support your club! The Tribe is only 1 GB behind Detroit heading into a weekend showdown series
DH on our home site pages – Stands for Daily HR Hitters in the Majors.
We are going to run the gauntlet on the previous days HRs for all MLB Players.
I loved it when MLB XM Radio used to do a running total every night on their Roundtrip with Mike Ferrin (Laser Show). So I am bringing it every day on this website. To view every nights big boppers for the whole year (from May 8th) visit the DH page!

Cleveland Indians with 7 HRs 4/30 versus the Phillies:

Robinson Cano is leading all Second Baseman with HRs in 2013 with 9. He has stepped up to the plate with most of the usual NYY Boppers being sidelined with injury. Cano is a Free Agent at the end of the 2013 campaign. Will the Yankees be able to resign him?
Josh Hamilton hit his 4th HR last night – and now has hit HRs on back to back nights. He has collected all 4 of his Round – Trippers versus the Houston Astros this year. In his last 365 Days, the slugger has played in 152 Games, cracking 32 HRs and 101 RBI.
What we are seeing will continue to plummet in the next stat. His 3 Slash Line since last May 10th is .247/.315/.789. We are now talking about a full years worth of games.
While a 32 HR, 100 RBI guy is good – a .247 BA – and .315 OBP makes him more like his former teammate Jay Bruce. For the record, he also has fanned 178 times in those games. I will update these stats in a month.
Royals teammates Gordon hit a HR for a 3rd straight game – and Mike Moustakas homered for the 2nd straight game.
Nick Swisher has now hit a big fly in back to back games.

Total HRs hit 17 in 10 Games = 1.70 HRs per game or .85 HRs per team.

Travis Hafner leads all Designated Hitters with 6 HRs this year. To be fair though, Ortiz of the Red Sox has only played in 17 Games (11 less than Pronk) – and has 4 HRs. The DH position is really struggling hard to find suitable hitters that can produce. Technically you could also call Adam Dunn a DH – however despite hitting 6 HRs, he has a paltry Batting Average.

About chuckbooth3023
I played competitive baseball until 18 years old and had offers to play NCAA Division 1 University Baseball at Liberty University. Post-concussion symptoms from previous football and baseball head injuries forced me to retire by age 19. After two nearly made World Record Attempts in 2008, I set a New World Record by visiting all 30 MLB Parks (from 1st to last pitch) in only 24 Calendar Days in the summer 0f 2009. In April of 2012, I established yet another new GWR by visiting all 30 Parks in only 23 Calendar Days! You can see the full schedule at the page of the www.mlbreports.com/gwr-tracker . In 2015, I watched 224 MLB Games, spanning all 30 MLB Parks in 183 Days.
