Let’s see owned baseball on August 28, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Xander Bogaerts finished with 10 total bases, including 2 homers, to power the Red Sox to a 7-4 final in Colorado.

Aaron Civale threw 7 innings, walking none while holding Detroit to 2 runs as he earned the 4-2 decision for Cleveland.

Anthony DeSclafani compiled 8 strikeouts against 2 hits and 1 walk over 7 shutout innings as the Reds blanked the Marlins, 5-0.

J. T. Realmuto went 3 for 5 including a homer, as the Phillies clobbered the Pirates, 12-3.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Ji-Man Choi reached base 3 times with a home run but the Rays dropped the dramatic 8-6 potential playoff preview with Houston.

Jack Flaherty struck out 7 Brewers over 6 innings but St. Louis came up short, 4-1.

Jeff McNeil got 3 hits, with a homer, but the Mets could not survive an early Cubs rally and lost, 10-7.

Patrick Sandoval allowed 1 hit and struck out 9 Rangers in 5 shutout innings. The Angels bullpen would give up 3 runs in the 3-0 defeat.
