Who Owned Baseball – August 17, 2019 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVPs) + 2019

IMG_7407Let’s see owned baseball on August 17, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Jacob deGrom struck out 5 Royals over 7 innings, allowing 1 hit to earn the 4-1 decision for the Mets.

Eduardo Rodríguez pitched into the 8th, going 7 1/3 shutout frames, striking out 4, as the Red Sox blanked the Orioles, 4-0.

Gleyber Torres hit a pair of homers as the Yankees held on to a 6-5 final over Cleveland.

Christian Yelich reached base 6 times, homering twice, driving in 4, to lead the Brewers to a crazy, back and forth, 14 inning 15-14 slugfest over the Nationals.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Steven Brault struck out 8 Cubs over 7 innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 run, but took the hard luck 2-0 decision for the Pirates.

Adam Eaton got 4 hits, including a homer, driving in 3, in the Nationals surreal 15-14 extra inning loss to the Brewers.

Danny Santana homered twice but the Rangers fell to the Twins, 12-7.

Jordan Zimmermann threw 5 shutout innings, allowing 1 hit and no walks but was long gone from the game as the Rays shutout the Tigers 1-0 in 13 innings.
