We all love to see if we can be a good gambler right?

Of course some of it is just bragging rights with our buddies, and of course no one is allowed to gamble in the USA, unless you are living in a state that allows it either.

So, whether you want to just play for winning amongst friends, or actually want to risk some sheckels, here are some fun specials to wager on in 2014

Yu Darvish had several games where he was going into the late stages of a contest with a no-hitter. In particular versus the Astros, he also fanned a pile of guys. Since Houston set the MLB Record of 1526 SO last year, go ahead and pick the bet for them to brush by 17 at least once in a game from a Starter in 2014.

These are brought to you by the good folks at http://www.bet365.com

Will any Pitcher Strikeout 16 or More Hitters in a Game?

Yes: 175, NO: +125.

This one is money in the bank, I mean which AL West team will fan the 1526 Strikeout team of the Houston Astros?  Yu Darvish or Felix Hernandez will have several cracks at these guys.

Will any team win 100 games or More?

Yes: +125, NO: -175.

I have to say here, that there are only 2 teams I think have a chance to eclipse 100 Wins in 2014.  That is the LA Dodgers (say if Matt Kemp reverts back to his all around self, and Yasiel Puig/Clayton Kershaw  dominate).

The other team is the Washington Nationals, who with that pitching – and weaker division should beat up on the NL East.  However, I think they may rest guys down the stretch with a big lead.

For that reason, I think the Dodgers will suffer a few injuries as well. Pick NO.

Jim Johnson registered back to back 50 Save seasons in Baltimore for 2012 and 2013, with his role not being a given in Oakland, he probably won't hit 50 this season. Craig Kimbrel all reached the half century mark. 3 out of the last 6 years, Relievers have, with 49 saves from Jose Valverde just missing the clip in 2011.

Will A Pitcher Record 50 Saves?

Yes:  120, NO: -120.

This one should be a definite yes.  Rafael Soriano, Joe Nathan, Greg Holland and Grant Balfour could possibly all approach this mark individually.

The Royals play a lot of close games.

There is always a reliever we are not thinking of – that will emerge also.

Number of No – Hitters?

Over 2.5 : -175

Under 2.5: +125

With so many SO in today’s game, there will be more.  We nearly could have had 10 last year, yet there were only 2.

Homer Bailey and Henderson Alvarez accomplished this feat last campaign.

There were 5 no – hitters or perfect games in both 2012 and 2010, perhaps the even year is the one to bet.

Number of Hitters with 40+ HRs

Over 2.5: -175

Under 2.5: +125

I think the AL will have 4 by themselves with Chris Davis, Miguel Cabrera, Jose Bautista, Prince Fielder, and look for Mark Trumbo and Giancarlo Stanton in the NL.

Number of 20 win Pitchers

Over 2.5: -175

Under 2.5: +125

Clayton Kershaw has to top the list of potential guys.  Zack Greinke may have a shot.  One of the 3 Nats pitchers of Gio Gonzalez, Stephen Strasburg and Jordan Zimmermann have a shot.

Adam Wainwright will compete for this in 2014, as will Yu Darvish, David Price, Justin Verlander and  Felix Hernandez.  I have to think three of the guys come forward with the total.

So bet all 6 props with the same $ total for each, and if you win 4 of these, profit will be had.

Adam Wainwright has had a 20 game win season (2010), mixed with a couple of 19 win campaigns. You have to think he is a good bet to near the 20 win plateau in 2014 as well. Clayton Kershaw could end up starting 35 games with the extra week after the 1st series in Australia, anyone bet he won't be close to 20 wins? AL Pitchers like Verlande, Darvish and Price should all be near the mark if they are healthy in the AL.
